Please read these terms carefully before booking your safari adventure with us.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Tsavo Cats Safaris website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Tsavo Cats Safaris.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our website and services.

Booking & Reservations

Booking Confirmation Process

All bookings are subject to availability and are only considered confirmed when all three conditions are met:

  • We receive your completed and signed booking form
  • The required deposit or full payment is processed successfully
  • You receive a written confirmation email from our reservations team

Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 45 days before your scheduled departure date. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required immediately upon confirmation.

We accept payments via bank transfer, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), and mobile money services. A 3% processing fee applies to credit card transactions.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while protecting our operational commitments:

60+ days before departure Full refund (-$100 fee)
45–60 days before departure 70% refund
30–44 days before departure 50% refund
Less than 30 days before departure No refund

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written notification.

Prices & Inclusions

All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change until full payment is received, after which they are locked in and guaranteed.

What's Included

  • Accommodation as specified in itinerary
  • Meals as specified (B, L, D)
  • Transportation in 4×4 safari vehicles
  • Park and conservation entrance fees
  • Services of professional English-speaking guides
  • Airport transfers as specified
  • Bottled water during game drives

What's Excluded

  • International and domestic flights
  • Visa and passport fees
  • Travel and medical insurance
  • Tips and gratuities
  • Personal expenses and souvenirs
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Optional activities not in itinerary

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all safari participants. Your insurance policy must provide coverage for:

  • Emergency medical expenses and hospitalization
  • Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation
  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged baggage and personal effects
  • Personal liability coverage

Proof of adequate travel insurance may be requested before your departure. Tsavo Cats Safaris is not liable for any costs arising from inadequate or absent insurance coverage.

We can recommend trusted insurance providers upon request. Please ensure your policy covers safari activities and the specific regions you'll be visiting.

Liability & Responsibility

Tsavo Cats Safaris acts as an agent and intermediary for various independent suppliers, including but not limited to hotels, lodges, camps, transportation companies, and local guides. We exercise care in selecting our partners but do not assume responsibility for their acts or omissions.

We shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity arising from:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather conditions
  • Acts of government, civil unrest, or political instability
  • Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control
  • Wild animal behavior or encounters
  • Medical conditions or health emergencies
  • Flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections

By participating in our safaris, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with travel in remote wilderness areas and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by our guides and staff.
